SPECIAL NOTES:

  • Don’t miss the Sunday Brunch!  April (14th & 28th) Bring your appetites!  The Evergreen will be serving brunch with fantastic German and American cuisine on the second and fourth Sundays of each month.  Served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bring your family and friends!

Special Events: (All Special Events are held Rain or Shine, reservations available for Members only)

  • Sunday, July 21st – Berks County Mustang Car Club – Car Show ~ Grounds open at 8 am ~ kitchen opens at 9 am ~ bar opens at 10 am
  • Sunday, August 18th – German American Day at the Evergreen ~ Grounds, kitchen and bar open at noon. Music by Joe Kroboth from 3 to 7 pm
  • Sunday, September 1st – Polish American Day ~ Grounds, kitchen and bar open at noon, music form “Boys from Baltimore” from 2 to 6 pm – Admission $5.00

March President’s Message

This upcoming month will be busy with large events for the Evergreen.on Wednesday, April 10th will be the 14th year of Gisela Lewis’s production of acts straight from Germany. This features two acts with a singing repertoire, and a trio of musicians playing old and new favorites. If you have never seen these performances, they are a great experience. A wonderful German meal, four hours of wonderful music, it is hard to beat! This event is flanked by the two Berks Jazz Fests, always a hit. Friday, April 5th, “By Request” and Friday April 12th Pretzel City Dixieland Band will grace our stage and have everyone smiling and enjoying the evening. You can always feel at home at the Evergreen.

If you have not renewed your membership by March 31st, you will not receive any more newsletters. If you stop by the Club, you can pay and pick up your 2013 card.

We thoroughly enjoyed Joe Kroboth’s Country and Western Night at the Evergreen.the place was totally full, and everyone had a great time.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the March 23rd Work Party. We are having another on April 27th. Please come and help us prepare for the Summer. The Adult Easter Egg Hunt was a great success, and always look forward to our annual event.

In the meantime, have a great April and Happy Spring!
